AI cover maker

Spotify Playlist Cover Maker

Make a square cover for a Spotify playlist with AI. Type a playlist name, paste a public Spotify link if you have one, then pick a style and a mood. The tool builds a 1024×1024 cover you can download in one click.

Free. The site makes at most 200 covers a day.

How to make a Spotify playlist cover

  1. 1. Describe the playlist. Type the name you want on the cover. Add a public Spotify playlist link if you want the artwork to follow the playlist’s genres.
  2. 2. Pick a style. Abstract, photo, neon, retro, painterly, minimal, collage and grainy are the eight choices. Leaving it empty lets the model decide.
  3. 3. Pick a mood. Mood words such as energetic, dreamy, melancholic or euphoric steer the colours and shapes.
  4. 4. Make the cover. The tool sends a fixed prompt to an AI image model and shows the result on its own page.
  5. 5. Download the square image. The file is a 1024×1024 JPEG. It matches the square shape Spotify uses for playlist covers.
  6. 6. Add it to Spotify. Open the playlist in Spotify. Select the cover, choose Change cover, and pick the downloaded file.

Playlist cover size guide

Spotify displays every playlist cover as a square. A 640×640 image is the common minimum, and 1024×1024 leaves headroom for large screens. This tool always returns 1024×1024 pixels.

  • Format: JPEG, under Spotify’s 256 KB upload limit.
  • Shape: square, with the title drawn near the bottom.
  • Expiry: covers stay on this site for one hour, then the file is deleted.

Frequently asked questions

What size is a Spotify playlist cover?
Spotify shows covers as squares. Use 1024×1024 pixels or larger, and keep the file under 256 KB. This tool returns exactly 1024×1024 JPEG.
Is the playlist cover maker free?
Yes. The tool is free to use, with a site-wide limit of 200 covers a day and small per-visitor limits. That keeps the cost under control for everyone.
Can the tool read my Spotify playlist?
Yes, when you paste a public playlist link. The tool reads the artists’ genres from our own database and turns a few of them into design words. It never downloads album art or artist photos, and it cannot read a private playlist.
Can I publish or sell a cover I make here?
Yes. The image model has a commercial-use licence. The prompt asks for abstract art, so a cover never copies a real album cover or a real person.
How do I put the cover on my playlist?
Download the JPEG. Open the playlist in Spotify, select the cover, choose Change cover, and pick the file. The Spotify desktop and mobile apps both support this.
